Hydraulic opening machine

The hydraulic taphole opener consists of four core parts: hydraulic pump station, power head, propulsion frame and operation control system. During operation, the hydraulic pump station converts electrical energy into high-pressure hydraulic energy to provide power for the entire equipment; high-pressure hydraulic oil is delivered to the hydraulic motor and impactor of the power head, which drive the drill bit to rotate and impact at high frequency (impact frequency up to 800-1500 times/minute) respectively. At the same time, the hydraulic cylinder pushes the power head forward along the frame guide rail, driving the drill rod and bit to penetrate into the taphole; the drill bit gradually crushes the stemming and refractory mud sleeve under the combined action of impact and rotation. Meanwhile, the blast furnace high-pressure cooling water enters the central water hole of the drill rod through the equipment waterway interface, directly to the drill bit working surface, cooling the drill bit and flushing the broken mud residue out of the taphole; when the drill bit opens the molten iron channel, the operation control system triggers the reverse action of the hydraulic cylinder, driving the power head, drill rod and bit to retract quickly to complete the taphole opening operation; various sensors equipped with the equipment monitor the operation parameters in real time throughout the process, and automatically trigger the protection function when jamming, overload, high temperature and other situations occur to ensure operation safety.

The hydraulic taphole opener (also known as hydraulic taphole drilling machine) is a core hydraulic power equipment for taphole opening operations in front of metallurgical blast furnaces. Specially designed for the extreme working conditions of high temperature (above 800℃), high dust and strong impact in front of blast furnaces, it takes the hydraulic system as the core power source, replaces traditional manual/pneumatic opening equipment, and realizes mechanized and automatic mud breaking and opening of blast furnace tapholes. The equipment completes the propelling, impacting, rotating and retracting actions of drill rods and bits through hydraulic drive, accurately opens the taphole mud sleeve and stemming layer of the blast furnace to realize the smooth discharge of molten iron, and is a key front-furnace equipment for the continuous production of large and medium blast furnaces (500-5000m³). It is compatible with a full set of rock drilling tools such as blast furnace drill rods and button/cross/three-tooth drill bits, and its power and structure can be customized according to blast furnace volume and taphole depth. It has the characteristics of precise operation, strong power, safety and reliability, and is widely used in core operations such as blast furnace taphole opening and taphole maintenance in ironworks.
