Single chisel bit

The chisel drill bit (also known as single-edge drill bit) is a classic basic rock drilling tool in the medium and low hardness crushing fields such as metallurgy, mining and infrastructure construction, named for its single linear cemented carbide cutting edge on the head. It is compatible with pneumatic rock drills, small hydraulic rock drills, light taphole opening machines and other equipment, featuring simple structure, easy operation and low maintenance cost. It realizes piercing and crushing through the composite motion of impact + rotation, suitable for working scenarios of medium and low hardness rock formations (f=4-8), furnace slag, refractory materials, etc. It is widely used in taphole opening of small and medium blast furnaces, shallow hole tunneling in mines, small infrastructure drilling and other working conditions, and is the preferred tool for entry-level rock drilling operations.

Single chisel bit

After the rock drilling equipment is started, the power head transmits high-frequency impact energy and rotational torque to the chisel drill bit through the drill rod; under the combined action of impact and rotation, the single cemented carbide cutting edge on the drill bit head acts vertically on the surface of the crushed material in a linear contact manner, realizing rapid piercing and generating longitudinal cracks through the stress concentration effect; at the same time, high-pressure water flows directly to the working surface through the central water hole of the drill bit, cooling the high-temperature cutting edge and the drill bit body, flushing the broken slag and discharging it through the open slag discharge groove; with the continuous advancement of the equipment, the cutting edge gradually penetrates into the material to complete shallow hole drilling or crushing operations.
